My name is Doug, and I am the founder and owner of BigFootPrepper. Having been homeless myself six years ago and living in a tent, I realized that building a simple home on wheels at a reasonable price would give other people a chance to afford a home and live a simple life. As my mother always said to me growing up, "less is more" and "live a simple life".

My company, BigFootPrepper, is a new business I launched in the summer of 2024. My passion and mission are to build simple homes at great prices with excellent quality and craftsmanship. Working with the Amish people in Upstate New York as my neighbors, I have built relationships to create tiny homes, cabins, sheds, and more.

Inspired by my journey from homelessness to entrepreneurship, we craft high-quality, affordable homes that embody simplicity and sustainability.
